Shady Palms

This house begins in the traditional beach-house fashion: one long room serving as living/dining/kitchen, with two bedrooms on the other half of the house, separated by a bathroom with a door leading directly to the outside. What’s different about this house is that it has one more bedroom off the back, complete with closets, its own bathroom, and a door directly leading outside to the multi-leveled pool, coconut palm trees, and places to relax. As is the custom here, there are windows on the east side of the house to take advantage of the morning sun, but no windows on the west to protect the rooms from the heat of the afternoon. Located about half-way between Chelem and Chuburna, just to the west of Progreso, this house will make a great winter get-away or a popular rental.
