Remember the Alamos! Here in Mexico, when we hear the word Alamo, we’re more likely to think of a poplar tree, which is the Spanish translation of that word. I’m not sure I’d recognize a Mexican poplar tree if I saw one, but from the moment you enter this gated community, you will be impressed by the semi-tropical plants and large shade trees that line its wide, curving streets and fill the front yards. Entering the house, you pass through a foyer to a sunken living room and dining room, both with views of and access to the pool area. As in most traditional homes in our country, the large eat-in kitchen is set up with easy access to the outside, for a service person to enter….attached are the laundry area with a door leading directly to the outside passageway, and a room meant as service quarters. Outside you’ll find a large, multi-leveled filtered pool, and a barbecue convenient for out-door parties on your shaded back terrace. Upstairs there are three light, airy bedrooms; the master has a bathroom, the other two share. Downstairs there is a room that could be used as a guest bedroom, study, or office. This property is located in the northeast of the city, close to malls, medical services, health clubs, gyms, and stores, in an area that has been showing great appreciation. |
